From Docriley For some reason, the t-porter down to 15 put me facing NORTH on the get-go instead of South, so I walked into the North room, and promptly tombed myself. All my characters are alive, but tomb-trapped on 15. I've sent Jake a request but no word back. If anyone THINKS they can help, I can guide you through it, and if you have any problems in helping me, I will pay you doubly whatever it costs to possibly fix any character encountering damage. The Tomb trap is cleared at this time, so it will be a random TP out, then pick up the characters. Please let me know here if you can help, and we'll set up a time to get together. Otherwise... I can't be on much, and I DO miss it Thanks! Doc

B - boys
I will guide you thru it. Hopefully we can do it with one of your characters. I'll be checking in from time to time this AM, and might be on "Colson" in the starter dungeon. Thanks!

Ok, I now have two dead at 23,25,15 (I think). There were no others in that room.

Thanks to rowdy and crew for resQ! (This is the third time I have tried to post this.)

Ok, I definitely shouldn't be mapping 15 when I am tired...
In any case, I am entombed on 15. So, if anyone sees a dead Bugle lying around (I will try and keep him online when I am available), and can manage a resQ that would be great. I have seven dead there.

This is old stuff to some of you, but since I am still a bit new to level 15, it shouldn't surprise anyone that I became entombed for the first time simply by not keeping good track of where I was exactly at. I just walked into the tomb at 20,30. The big group of Golden Eagles in the AM space rather quickly killed off my group of mostly spell casters. Since I do not have another set of characters 15 capable and the senior players are not on regularly, my characters seemed destined to be entombed for a while. I was most fortunate that someone with entomb experience did show up. It was quite a rescue process of their having to use their warrior types to clear the AM room, pick up half of my deaders, volunteer to step on the random tp, hope to survive the resulting separate encounters with just a single char (they didn't survive at least once), gather survivors, and recall to city still carrying my deaders. Then, the poor good Samaritan had to repeat the process all over again for my other three entombed deaders! Great thanks to the player who was willing to put in so much time to help me.
The whole basis of the AM entombment seems to be based on the premise that there are many players capable of handing 13 and 15, AND their regularly being in the game, AND then that they are willing and able to spend a lot of time executing a total rescue, or the on the premise that a player has a second set of rescue capable chars. The current playing conditions seem to be that most of these premise conditions are NOT present on a regular basis, especially as newer players first reach level 13 or 15. I suggest that entombment as it currently exists is not appropriate under current playing conditions.
Would it be a fair consideration to change the entomb areas to NOT be AM? Is there another adjustment that offers hope rather that abrupt end to playing?

Uhm. The thing that makes it a tomb trap is the anti magic. If you remove that, then you just word of recall back home... right? The whole point (at least the way I remember it) -- is that you are stuck, until you find someone to pull you out-- even if you live -- you are stuck.

6 chars alive but entombed at 19,27,15. I have not seen anyone at all on for a while, but if you read this I hope someone will drop in for a recovery operation. Mike with flyer, amage, heal, sorcpower, valor, wolf
UPDATE 7/15: Evidently chief clerk ran a clean up and deposited my entombed group at city stairs. Thank You.
Heard another player say Thanks for your Quest Retoss. Like me, he had been stopped by 15 level Qs which is risky running without rescuers in sight. That was also greatly appreciated!
At least two of us will now be developing our younger chars so we can attempt our own 15 rescues (once we figure them out). In the mean time, 15 running will have to be minimized when other capable players are not around. Thanks for your active support.
Mike
