Hi all. Just returned to this version of javatar after a long absence (I played the old, 'zavatar' inspired version quite heavily).
I've been running up the "math crew", so far : cartesian (seeker), asymptote (thief), mean (warrior), and vertex (healer).
I've been fortunate to only have a total of four deaths among the group so far, however two of them have resulted in complications, despite being cast from a Cross of Life with 98% chance of success each time. Is there something about this version that results in a high chance of comp, or something about the CoL that I don't remember? Or have I somehow angered the RNG gods?
Just double-checking that I'm not overlooking something. Thanks.

It has seemed pretty random to me for when I get comps. I don't think it has hit me any harder over the long term than zavatar (example, in zavatar I comp'ed on my first death on one char). Big factor is going to be your Con value! I haven't used Cross of Life much to raise so I don't know if that could be an issue. If you die, there are typically a couple of us playing at least every day and we will be happy to raise you if you think that is the factor. I run the Kronk Crew (Kronk, Perry, DarkWing, NegaDuck, Wreck-it, MamaOdie, GrunkleStan & Baymax)

Thanks for the offer, Will. Unfortunately, I was alone in the game at the time. My baby healer was throwing a 96% raise, I recall never trusting a morgue raise in prior versions I played, and a Cross of Life advertised a 98% raise, so that's what I went with.
My chars CON scores are always maxxed. Looking through the archives of this and the "official" forum, there seemed to be some mention of CON being the end-all-be-all in this version, so much so that some people were making every character an ogre just for the CON bonus? Is that still a thing? I went with "traditional" races for all of my characters (giant warrior, osiri thief, dwarf seeker, etc.) all with less than ogre-level CON. Am I in trouble as I move up in levels?

I too am basing my rez points upon the items you have found. The morgue raises are good (I think you get 98.5%) but you lose one Con when you do it there. I too do some of the traditional races as well. I am learning how that works myself. I have comp'ed most of my chars 1-3 times now and they are all around lvl500

Like Will stated all my characters have comped at least once also and I am still way below level 500. There have been previous comments about the comp rate, but my impression of the responses is the comps compare to other versions. One of my chars comped on 1st death too and at level 35 with max con. Kind of spoils the game because of the severe comp penalties especially at early levels where recovery is very hard or impossible.
